Prenatal Vitamin Checklist

It’s hard to choose when there are so many different bottles on the shelf! Know your vitamin has everything you and baby need by making sure the label lists all of these.

Prepregnancy, you need 400 µg, but up it to 600 µg to prevent birth defects.

[ ] Calcium: 300 MG
You’ll be well on your way to your goal of 1,000 mg of calcium daily. (Yes, ice cream counts).

[ ] Iron: 30 MG
Pregnancy means a 50 percent increase in blood flow. Pop 27 mg of iron a day (double the usual).
